An artistic study of the physical phenomenon of surface tension of liquids.

Immiscible liquids of different densities — oil and ink — form unique fractal structures when interacting, which become the object of observation.

As a researcher, the artist records the process taking into account the physical parameters that influence the formation of the drawing: temperature, humidity, pressure, volume and composition of liquids. By setting some of the conditions, he only partially controls the matter, while maintaining a dialogue with its autonomous “will”.

Experiments are carried out on different surfaces — glass, paper, marble, etc. — as a result, various formats of representation of the process arise, recording the fragile moment of reaction.

The project is located in the field of process-based practice and new materialism: control and unpredictability coexist, demonstrating how physics becomes a co-author of artistic form and how a moment can be preserved without losing its fragility.
